Dr. Siga F. Jagne-Jallow is the Commissioner for Gender and Social Affairs at the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). She has extensive experience in Research Bioethics and was the Project Lead for the UNESCO/MRC program on “Building capacity in bioethics in The Gambia.”

Mr. Bakary Sanneh is a Principal Laboratory Scientist at the Ministry of Health and an adjunct lecturer at the American International University of West Africa. He has been a member of the Gambia Government/MRC Joint Ethics Committee for more than two years.

Dr. Lynn Oswald is an Associate Professor at the University of Maryland, School of Nursing. Her role as IRB Signatory Departmental Reviewer entails reviewing human subjects research protocols UMSON investigators to assure that the initial drafts of the proposals meet ethical and regulatory requirements and are scientifically meritorious and feasible and to give final approval for IRB submission

Dr. Natalie Ram is an Associate Professor of Law and Health Care Program at the University of Maryland, Francis King Carey School of Law. She is a top scholar on the intersection of genetic privacy and law and publishing groundbreaking research in the Harvard Law Review, Stanford Law Review, Columbia Law Review, Virginia Law Review, Northwestern Law Review, and in the scientific journals, Science and Nature Biotechnology. She is a 2021 Greenwall Faculty Scholar in Bioethics, which awards three-year career development grants to promising young scholars across disciplines.
