Josette Yeboah is an enthusiastic nursing student pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, specializing in Clinical Nurse Leadership. She has a strong academic background with a degree in Neuroscience and a minor in Health Care and Society from Lafayette College. Josette has consistently demonstrated a desire to advance global health equity through comprehensive research initiatives. Josette has contributed to important research on social determinants as an Amgen Scholar Research Intern at the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI). She honed her research skills while working as an Undergraduate Research Scholar and National Institute of Mental Health Post-baccalaureate Research Fellow at the NIH Clinical Center. Josette now serves as the Graduate Research Assistant for the Gambia Research Ethics and Methodology Training Initiative (GamREMTI). Driven by a passion for equitable healthcare, Josette is particularly interested in promoting diverse and equitable representation within clinical trials. She aims to utilize both a cross-cultural perspective and nursing expertise in meaningful research endeavors that assist in providing accessible and equitable healthcare solutions for underserved communities globally.
