Call for Abstracts for Poster Presentation

SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS FEBRUARY 6, 2026

 

The GamREMTI Program invites students and trainees to submit abstracts for the in-person poster presentation at the 5th Annual GamREMTI Workshop. The student poster session aims to promote ethical scholarship,  enhance students’ understanding of responsible academic practice the responsible conduct of research, and provide opportunities for networking.

Eligibility

  • Open to students and trainees (undergraduate, Master’s, PhD, and postgraduate) enrolled in academic and training institutions.
  • The student/trainee must be the first and presenting author. Each student may submit one abstract as first author (co-authorship on additional abstracts is permitted).
  • Each abstract must list a faculty or academic mentor
  • Presenting author must register to attend in-person and present their accepted poster.

Scope and Themes

Abstracts must align with the workshop theme and may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Academic and research ethics
  • Research integrity and misconduct
  • Ethics in teaching, writing, publication, and research dissemination
  • Ethical use of artificial intelligence (AI) in academia and research
  • Ethics governance and regulatory frameworks
  • Ethical partnerships in academia and research

Type of Work Accepted

  • Completed or ongoing student research or scholarly projects
  • Course-based research work
  • Ethics case studies or policy analyses

Ethical Requirements

  • Research involving human participants, human data, or animals must indicate appropriate ethics approval, exemption, or waiver, where applicable.
  • For student projects not requiring formal ethics review, authors should briefly state the basis for exemption.

Abstract Format

  • Word limit: up to 350 words (excluding title and author details)
  • Structured format recommended:
    • Background/Introduction
    • Objectives
    • Methods/Approach
    • Results (final or preliminary)
    • Ethical implications
    • Conclusions

Review and Acceptance

All abstracts will undergo review for relevance, clarity, and alignment with workshop theme. Applicants will be notified of acceptance by February 16, 2026.
